Male Atoll - Here you find the most popular breaks for visiting surfers from April through to October. Three good swells come each month, lasting a couple of days and the best thing is they are offshore. Some of them are Himafushi (Jail break), Thamburudhoo left and right (a.k.a Honkys and Sultans), Thulusdhoo Point (Colas), Kuda Vilingili (Chickens), and Airport.

Outer Atolls - Laamu Atoll (Hadhumathi) and Huvadhu Atoll. Since these two Atolls are separated by the one and half degree channel and as there is not much land mass to the South of these Atolls, swells generated by the Roaring Forties (a weather phenomena created in the far south of the Indian Ocean) hit the islands of these Atolls and creating the best waves in the country.

Laamu Atoll works in the same conditions as North Male' Atoll. Best times to visit the region are March to April and August to November.

The best time to visit Huvadhu Atoll is in North East Monsoon, January to March and also November to October. Although there are waves to ride throughout the season, swell is most consistent during January to March.

Huvadhoo Atoll: US$478.00 per day per boat - 2 days each way. Kindly note, due to recent massive fuel price increases, we are now compelled to impose a fuel supplement at USD20 per day. Recommended minimum number of days for each atoll: Male’ Atoll: 7 days Laamu Atoll: 10 days Huvadhoo Atoll: 14 days NOTES: 1.
